🏸 Scoring & Matches
How do I record a point in the app?
During a match, tap the prominent + Record button on the side of the player or team who won the rally. The score will immediately update and show the current game score (e.g., 16 - 16).
Can I undo or redo a rally score?
Yes! RallyTracker keeps a complete stack of points for the match. If you accidentally score a point for the wrong player, tap the red Undo Rally button at the bottom of the screen. If you need to restore the undone point, tap the Redo Rally button.
How does RallyTracker handle badminton doubles positions?
RallyTracker handles the complexities of badminton doubles service rules automatically. When setting up a doubles match, specify players A1/A2 and B1/B2. The scoring screen dynamically tracks court positions (Left/Right) and marks the current server with a Serving badge and the receiver with a Receiving badge.
📡 Live Broadcasting
What is Live Broadcasting?
Live Broadcasting allows others to view your live score and server/receiver courts in real time. This is perfect for coaches, friends, and family members who want to spectate matches remotely.
How do I broadcast a match?
Start a match and tap the broadcast/wifi icon in the header. The app will generate a unique 4-character broadcast code (such as UZMH). Simply tell your viewers to open RallyTracker, tap "Watch Live", and type in your code.
Does broadcasting require an account?
No, broadcasting and spectating are fully anonymous. Neither the scorer nor the viewers need to create an account or sign in to share and spectate match scoreboards.
📜 History & Archives
Where can I see my past games?
Tap the **History** tab in the bottom navigation. Here you can search matches by player names, filter by Singles/Doubles match types, search by dates, and view a match archive counting your total games.
How do I export my match history?
In the **History** section, scroll to the orange Export All History button. Tapping it generates a share sheet with a CSV or JSON file containing every saved match, which you can easily back up, email, or import into external analysis software.
🔒 Privacy & Data
Where is my match data stored?
To ensure complete privacy and fast offline functionality, all players, roster setups, and match histories are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit your local history to any remote servers.
Does RallyTracker share my location or network data?
No. We only use network services temporarily when you actively choose to broadcast a match, transmitting only current scoreboard states under the anonymous code. Please review our full Privacy Policy for more details.
